In early February, Nikon announced some new products and among these were the two compact Nikon, Nikon S6100 and S4100.
As recently announced by these two compact will no longer be distributed in Asia because of the damage that the earthquake and tsunami caused to Japanese factories. For the moment the decision is valid only for Asia, while all other markets will be the national detachment Nikon to choose how to behave.
This move is definitely the company to be seen from the perspective of not wanting to lose competitiveness in key sectors by sacrificing a product that you can not really define the tip. At the time the other big market have not yet put out any production of their products because of quake.
