FinePix X-S1 Good news for all amateur photographers interested in the quality of images: during a press conference in Tokyo, Fujifilm has introduced the prototype of a new compact camera “bridge”, the Fuji X-S1, with EXR format CMOS sensor 2 / 3. “Fujifilm has not officially confirmed, but probably it is the same 12 megapixel sensor mounted on the compact Fuji X10 (see our presentation).

This is a sensor a bit ‘larger than the Bridge on the market and therefore able to reduce the noise level and better highlight the fine details.

The choice of Fujifilm to adopt a larger sensor has resulted in an increase in the size and weight of the machine, in fact, form and space, is similar to a digital SLR consumers.
But then, why not take, however, an SLR? The Fuji X-S1 is open to all photographers who while not wishing to engage with the support of an SLR (of optical transport bag, replacement operation objectives, risk of dust and dirt into the machine …), want a higher level of image quality.

The new FinePix X-S1 offers a Super EBC Fujinon 26x super optical zoom, 24 – 624 mm equivalent with F2.8-5.3 brightness. So a telephoto zoom with a highly respected (some are longer, but anyway …), but also with a wide angle led light. There are built-in electronic viewfinder, as well as a pop-up flash. The LCD is adjustable. For the moment there are no other data on the machine.
The official presentation of the X-S1 and subsequent marketing, are scheduled for early 2012.
