Nikon, Canon, Pentax, Olympus, Sony – Comparing entry-level
We give below a comparison between the entry-level digital SLR publishing the findings of the comparative few months ago to Quesabesde, which examined Nikon D3000, Canon EOS 1000D, Pentax Km, Olympus E-450 and Sony A330.
With regard to the choice and the final evaluation of cameras made by Quesabesde, we stress that the test of the Canon 1000D has been conducted with the first version f3.5-5.6 lens 18-55 mm EF-S are without the image stabilization , on the other hand, this new version of the lens (IS) that is found most commonly in the market. Nikon D3000
23 points on 30 for the Nikon D3000, for good general characteristics of the optical stabilized, the system focus to 11 points above the competition and the ease of use.
Pentax K-m
19 points on 30 for the Pentax Km, focus a bit noisy and not intuitive menu but otherwise well-balanced performance.
Canon 1000D
18 points for the Canon 1000D and suffers from optics used for the test, the rest to start a good reflex.
Sony A330
17 points for the Sony A330, not the exciting image quality is balanced by the convenience of Live View, swivel screen and image stabilization into the camera body.
Olympus E-450
17 points tied with the A330, has the best optical quality of the test, Zuiko 14-42 mm f3.5-5.6, but suffers from the lack of image stabilization.
