Professional photographers and enthusiasts who enjoy not only shoot but also print their photos, Canon offers a new top model in the PIXMA series. The Canon PIXMA PRO-1, is the first printer in the world to 12 A3 + Inks.
The 12-ink system significantly expands the color range, while new Chroma optimizer ensures a higher density of black and an even shine. Five monochrome inks produce prints in black and white professional quality, with details in shadows and light, plus a uniform tonal gradation with no graininess.
PIXMA PRO-1 can print at a resolution of 4800x2400dpi. The new Optimum Image Generating System (OIG) analyzes the color photos and accurately calculates the optimum combination and the volume of ink droplets, which are carefully placed on paper from Canon’s FINE print head featuring 12,288 nozzles. The result?
Improved color reproduction, tonal gradation and natural uniform gloss in every print mode and any type of media.
The smooth tonal gradations in color and in black and white are manufactured with the ability to print 16-bit per channel.
PIXMA PRO-1 has three color modes, including the new Photo Colour, which reproduces the shades of blue and green in a realistic way. Linear Tone Mode reproduces colors with a linear curve, while the mode allows the use of ICC profiles specific color profiles for specific paper types or create your own.
The Canon PIXMA PRO-1 can produce a print-quality display in less than 3 minutes. The ink tank is 2.5 times larger than the Pixma Pro 9500 Mark II. The front panel allows easy access to tanks. The rear tray can hold up to twenty sheets of photo paper, while the rear manual feed slots accept photo paper up to 356 mm (14 “) wide and heavier fine art papers.
For prints marketable, real-time control of drop volume stabilizes the color and ink density and guarantees the consistency of the output print after print.
Thanks to the Ethernet connection, the PIXMA PRO-1 can be easily shared over the network.
The software plug-in Easy-PhotoPrint Pro, which comes with the printer settings and allows easy batch printing. Support was also extended to the full set of Adobe Photoshop, as well as Canon’s Digital Photo Professional software package. The printer can automatically select the correct ICC profile for each Canon paper, there is a wider range of ICC profiles for fine art cards on the market of the most famous manufacturers.
Colour Management Tool Pro software, which can be downloaded from http://software.canon-europe.com/, supports color management tools X-Rite, including Colour and Colour Photo Munk Munk design, allowing you to create ICC profiles customized to ensure the best print quality.
PIXMA PRO-1 also includes the function of adjusting the ambient light so that you can select the type of lighting in which the print will be displayed. The color print are then automatically compensated to ensure the best visual reproduction of colors in that specific condition.
