The Canon is a company that has marketed original and innovative technologies, such as auto focus controlled by the pupil: Instead of using buttons and dials to choose which cell to use AF, just look in the direction of the cell in question to enable it. A technological solution also to reduce the use of buttons and dials have been developed Mabre Björn Swedish hacker, who claims to have made a firmware for Canon 5D Mark II with Apple’s voice recognition Syrians.
Owners of Apple iPhone 4s can in fact use the virtual assistant Siri to find information, or to do certain operations simply by using their voice. The firmware developed by Björn Mabre similarly would recognize 124 different voice commands that control the opening of the diaphragm from the shot of the Canon 5D Mark II.
The idea is really interesting, maybe with some concern in the actual useful especially if you are in noisy environments, such as in a live concert. Finally, there is always the doubt that this is a joke at the end of year: easy to simulate the custom firmware by simply copying the iPhone screen and then once loaded on a memory card displayed on the camera display.
